Many couples elope to Edinburgh to be married in our beautiful historic city buildings. But what if you could be married in a neighbourhood gelateria or independent vinyl store?! Or perhaps you’re a lover of history and nature and would love to get married in the heart of Dalkeith Country Park, beside a stunning Palace dating from the 1700s.
I’ve teamed up with some of Edinburgh’s top independent venues to offer couples alternative elopement destinations. In Scotland you can marry anywhere – the hardest thing is choosing where!
This one is for the history, outdoor and nature lovers. Catriona and Dalkeith Country Park have come together so you can elope to be married under a gorgeous weeping willow or surrounded by ancient woodland.
Couples can hold their elopement ceremony in The Bowl, just below Dalkeith Palace. Or you may wish to be married deep in the woodland, sourrounded by historic trees and ancient oaks.
And if you wish to extend the celebrations, The Boudoir at Restoration Yard can be booked for intimate drinks and food.
